Free solar eclipse printable pack

Printable mini pack for children and families. Free, but donations would be much appreciated.

Inside you’ll find:

• What is a solar eclipse?
• Eclipse activities
• Eclipse observation sheet
• Safe eclipse viewing without glasses
• Eclipse time capsule page

The activities are simple, practical and designed to help children notice what is happening to the Sun, light, shadows, temperature and wildlife during the eclipse. The safe viewing page also includes easy projection ideas using everyday things such as card, a cereal box, a colander and tree shadows.

Perfect for home education, nature study or simply making the most of a rather special evening outside. If this sparks a wider interest in the Moon, you might also enjoy the Moon Study Pack, which explores the Moon in more depth, or the Full Moon Names Pack, featuring the traditional names and meanings of the full moons across the year.

For best printing results, open the PDF using 'Adobe Acrobat' - the reader app is free to download for all platforms. Select paper size 'A4' and a 'fit to page or printable area' option to avoid cropping when printing. Only print the pages you need to, to save ink.
