YULE festival poster with history & activities for Christmas - Wheel Of The Year

This poster is free with the Yule Pack

---

This pretty poster displays history, family-friendly activities, and tips for celebrating the YULE festival from the wheel of the year calendar. It is a PDF download, so you can print it repeatedly. It is an ideal display item for learning about European history and ancient festivals.

The winter solstice, or midwinter, has been acknowledged for centuries. The Norse people called this festival ‘Jul’. Lots of our modern Christmas traditions have evolved from ‘Yuletide’ ones. If you decorate your home with an evergreen tree, holly or candles, feast and exchange gifts - you are following these old Yule traditions.

The wheel of the year's eight festivals honour the practices of our Western European ancestors, who shared a deep respect for nature and the earth.
